ABOUT

Knowledge meets strategy.

Mindforge is a multiplayer trivia game with a roguelike twist. Instead of rewarding only what you know, each run lets you draft upgrade cards that change how you score: streak bonuses, gambles, shields, category perks, and attacks for the final question. Everyone in the room answers the same questions on the same clock, so the differentiator is the build you forge along the way.

Who made it

Mindforge is an independent side project designed and built by Alexandru Curiman, a software developer. The backend is a single Go server that owns every game rule; the frontend is a Vue 3 client. Both repositories are public on GitHub under AlexandruC0909.

What it costs

Mindforge is free to play without an account. You can optionally connect a Google account to save your progress across devices. There are no in-app purchases — the "buy a life" mechanic spends points you earn inside a run, never money. Public runs start every 90 seconds around the clock, and private rooms are available for personal use.

Status

The game is in alpha. Live rooms and seat state live in server memory and expire two hours after creation; signed-in players can save progress, achievements and game history to an account. The current focus is a fast, fair, drop-in trivia match.
